Kristina Overhears Drew’s Deadly Plot
Kristina Corinthos-Davis gives a grave warning to Michael Corinthos after accidentally overhearing a shocking conversation. It appears Drew Cain is desperate to eliminate any competition for Willow Tait and regain custody of the children, leading him to plan a hit on Michael.
Drew, unfortunately for him, chose the wrong place and time to discuss his malicious intentions, while Kristina found herself in the right place at the opportune moment. She was looking after Scout Cain while Willow recovered, and overheard Drew on the phone outside.
Upon hearing Michael’s name, Kristina instructed Scout to wait in the car and discreetly moved closer to listen. Drew, riled up, grew increasingly loud, oblivious to Kristina’s presence. She quickly began recording the conversation on her phone.
Drew explicitly stated, “Make sure Michael Corinthos is dead!” He even repeated the demand, wanting the death to appear as if Sonny Corinthos was the intended victim of mob violence.
Kristina’s Suspicions About the Bombing
Kristina’s mind raced with possibilities, linking Drew’s words to past events. She wondered if Drew was also behind the bombing of Sonny’s penthouse, especially given his desire for Michael’s death to look like a mob hit against Sonny.
She considered whether Drew could have been responsible for Michael’s severe injuries and burns from that incident. Before confronting Michael or involving Dante Falconeri, Kristina prioritized Scout’s safety, taking her to Alexis Davis’s house. Kristina believes Drew is dangerous, even to his own child, and certainly to Michael’s.
Kristina also realized the irony of Willow, who helped her escape a cult, now being deeply deceived by Drew. Michael was granted sole custody of the children until Willow recovers, a decision that now seems even more critical.
Michael’s Reaction and Counter-Plan
Michael was neither surprised nor shocked by Kristina’s revelation, acknowledging Drew’s dangerous nature and Willow’s profound deception. He agreed that Dante, Jason Morgan, and Sonny needed to be informed about this plot. Michael also found Kristina’s theory about Drew’s involvement in the penthouse bombing to be a credible one.
The group acknowledged that no one knew the extent of Drew’s knowledge of explosives, and the bomb used in Sonny’s penthouse was not readily available. Despite this, Michael believed Drew would have sent a hitman after him if he knew he’d be at Sonny’s apartment. Moving forward, Michael will have special protection, and Drew will be constantly monitored.
