Sad News!! MINUTES AGO: Drew’s days in Port Charles are over!

General Hospital continues to write Drew (Cameron Mathison) as a despicable human being. Just when GH viewers think Drew can’t sink any lower, he does.

The chaos surrounding Drew keeps raising the question of whether the character and actor are on their way out of Port Charles. Seriously, at some point, Drew has to get what’s coming to him, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of Mathison on the show.

Thanks to the actor, we now know for sure that he isn’t leaving General Hospital anytime soon. Mathison recently used Instagram to share some father-daughter bonding time before his daughter, Leila, heads back to college.

“Gonna miss this monkey when she goes off to school again🥹 #daddysgirl❤️,” was his caption. However, it was his response in the comments that shut down his GH exit rumors.

One fan asked Mathison point-blank if the rumors that he was leaving the ABC soap were true and expressed that he would be missed if that were the case. The actor simply wrote, “No.”

While the actor is sticking around, that doesn’t mean Drew won’t get what’s coming to him. All signs point to Drew being shot, kicking off a new Port Charles mystery, much like whatDays of Our Lives just did with EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel). It is the soap way, after all.

One fan on X even has a shooter in mind, and the story hasn’t even happened yet.

It remains to be seen what Drew’s future holds for General Hospital. What we do know is that Mathison isn’t exiting the ABC soap, or at least, that’s what he wants fans to think.
