Kody Brown’s Kids Respond To His Public Statements & Gets Ripped By Some!
In the world of Sister Wives, the tension between Kody Brown and several of his children continues to take center stage—and the latest developments only deepen the divide.
According to one family member, Kody stopped putting in real effort long ago. Instead of genuinely reaching out, he now lumps all of his kids together whenever he claims he’s “trying.”

One of his adult children explained that Kody contacted them multiple times, and they replied only once, saying, “I’m not in a place to talk right now. When I’m in a better space, I might reach out.”
But despite comments like these, Kody still insists publicly that he’s done everything he can. To many viewers, it feels like he isn’t taking the broken relationships seriously at all—and that much of what he says is for show. At one point, there was room for growth, conversations, and healing.
None of that happened, and now Kody is telling the world that he’s tried, but no one is willing to meet him halfway.
In the most recent episode, Kody floated the idea of therapy, saying he needed tools to approach his children “safely and lovingly.”
He once again claimed he’s reached out multiple times but that his kids keep shutting the door. He even mentioned wishing he had fixed things with his own father before he passed, using that regret as another emotional point.
Robyn, sitting beside him, said it breaks her heart to see Kody “rejected” by his kids. But the question many fans are asking is: Is he really being rejected? Or is this another narrative Kody is shaping?
Because the responses from his children tell a very different story.
Leon posted publicly, breaking their social media silence to address a circulating video of Kody claiming he reaches out. Their message was blunt:
“I have not heard from that man since my brother took his own life. He ignored me at Garrison’s funeral. He is a liar. He is a joke of a father.”

Leon has traditionally been one of the children most willing to stand by Kody—even during dark moments like the catfish scandal—so this shift speaks volumes.
Kody’s son Paedon confirmed he also hasn’t spoken to his father since Garrison’s funeral. This has led many viewers to believe that something significant happened that day—something that created even more distance.
Meanwhile, Mykelti mentioned last year on her Patreon that Kody and Robyn did something that forced her and her family to pull back.
And many viewers see Kody’s breakdowns on TV as manipulative attempts to guilt his estranged children, painting himself as the hurt parent and warning that they’ll “regret” shutting him out.
Kody has also taken his narrative to interviews and podcasts, repeating that he’s reached out and received silence. But some of his kids strongly disagree.
Ysabel responded through her Patreon, saying that Kody tends to group all the kids together when he talks about reaching out, instead of recognizing their individual needs—something she sees as a refusal to take accountability.
Mykelti, in her own update, admitted that Kody has reached out to her several times. She replied once:
“I’m not in a good place to talk right now. When I’m ready, I’ll let you know. I love you.”
Even then, she says, Kody interpreted this as “rejection.”
The reality is more complicated: there’s a lot of pain, a lot of healing that needs to be done, and a lot of responsibility Kody still has to take. Any meaningful reconciliation will require boundaries, honesty, and a willingness to repair—not control, guilt, or public narratives crafted for sympathy.
Fans of Sister Wives may not agree on much, but one thing is clear: the Brown family has a long road ahead. And whether viewers support Kody or the kids, most hope that, someday, they’ll find a way back to each other.
