The end of an era: Three Recasts Are About to Change Salem Forever”

It’s a new year and viewers of Peacock’s Days of Our Lives are about to see some new faces hit Salem in the coming months.

Casting changes are a part of the game when it comes to soap operas and even though fans have their faves, sometimes they are forced to get used to a new actor or actress in the role of the characters they watch each weekday.

So, who’s going to turn up looking a little different this year? TV Insider recently reported some big casting changes and even though it’s no surprise that Billy Flynn has exited the role of Chad, we now know when Conner Floyd will be stepping into the legacy role.

Flynn, who has been appearing as Cane on The Young and the Restless, traded soaps with Floyd, who used to play Genoa City detective Chance and if you’ve been waiting to hear when the latter will be arriving in Salem, you can look forward to seeing him as the DiMera in April.

In other news, Rachel will be recast once again. Though there is no word as of yet who will be stepping into the role, the outlet confirms that Alice Halsey will no longer be the face of Brady and Kristen’s daughter and that the new actress will be reveled in March.

Plus, Marissa Reyes will be leaving as Ari as well. Again, no details have been released on who is taking over the role but the new actress starts airing in April.

And while we wait for these changes to take place, if you were stumped on a few details from last week’s episodes, don’t worry — we were too! Check out our photo gallery of soaps’ burning questions.
