DOOL Goings and Comings: A Major Character Written Out On and Off Screen — Fans Left Heartbroken!
Hello, Salemites, and welcome back. Grab your hourglasses, because the sands of Salem are shifting in ways none of us saw coming—and we need to talk. Seriously, we need to talk.
After digging through the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers, whispered leaks, and behind-the-scenes rumors, I can honestly say my jaw is on the floor.

If even half of what’s circulating is true, the writers aren’t just stirring the pot—they’re swinging a wrecking ball straight at one of the show’s most passionate fan bases. We’re looking at a potential character exit so shocking, so abrupt, and so deeply disrespectful to longtime viewers that it could set the internet on fire.
Old villains are resurfacing with fresh vendettas. Powerful matriarchs appear to be crossing unforgivable lines. And at the center of it all is a mystery that has left fans furious on behalf of one particular DiMera. So let’s dive into this chaos.
The catalyst for all this drama? The return of Peter Blake.
For viewers who’ve been watching since the ’90s, yes—Peter Blake is back, once again portrayed by Jason Brooks. And no, time has not softened him. Peter is classic old-school Salem villainy: Kristen’s brother, Stefano DiMera’s adopted son, and morally twisted down to his DNA.
According to spoilers, Peter is the mastermind behind the recent wave of kidnappings targeting the DiMeras, and he’s back with one goal in mind—wipe them out.
What’s especially chilling is Peter’s mindset. He seems to believe he’s operating from some warped moral high ground, judging Kristen, Chad, and the rest of the family as unworthy of the DiMera name. In his mind, extermination equals justice. It’s peak Salem logic: I’ll kill you to teach you about family values.
But Peter’s reign of terror isn’t even the biggest shock.
The bombshell he brings with him is far more disturbing. According to Peter Blake, Stefan DiMera is dead. Not missing. Not presumed dead. Dead—and reportedly killed offscreen.
Let that sink in.
Stefan DiMera. Stefano’s biological son. One half of “Stabby,” one of the most electric pairings the show has delivered in years.
The last time we saw Stefan, he and Gabi had just realized they were still deeply in love. They were ready to cancel the divorce and fight for their future—until Vivian Alamain interfered. The final image we have is Stefan drugged, locked in a trunk, and shipped off to Alamainia like luggage.

Since then? Silence.
Fans assumed he was imprisoned, plotting his escape. And now Peter strolls into Salem claiming Stefan is gone forever—blaming the DiMeras for not looking hard enough. According to Peter, their indifference is why Stefan is dead.
But here’s where things don’t add up.
How would Peter Blake even know Stefan’s fate? These characters have no shared history. Peter vanished from Salem long before Stefan ever arrived. The only logical explanation is that Peter is getting his information from someone else.
Which brings us to Vivian Alamain.
Spoilers suggest Vivian is now confirming Stefan’s death and may have even sent “proof” to Rafe Hernandez at the Salem PD. Do I believe her? Not for a second.
Vivian is manipulative, dangerous, and unhinged—but one thing has always defined her: her obsessive love for her son. When Stefan “died” before and his heart went to Julie, Vivian nearly lost her mind. Are we really supposed to believe she murdered her own child simply to keep him away from Gabi Hernandez?
Kidnapping him? Absolutely. Forging divorce papers? Without hesitation. But killing him crosses a line that contradicts her core motivation.
The more plausible theory? This is Vivian’s ultimate gaslighting campaign.
Stefan is likely alive—heavily sedated and locked away in some high-security Alamainian facility. Vivian controls that territory. She controls the narrative. If Gabi believes Stefan is alive, she will never stop searching. But if Vivian convinces the world he’s dead, Gabi may finally move on, leaving Vivian free to keep her son trapped in a twisted version of “love.”
Peter Blake may simply be a pawn—fed this information to spread guilt and chaos among the DiMeras.
From a meta perspective, killing Stefan offscreen right after a major romantic reconciliation would be disastrous storytelling. Soap fans can forgive amnesia, evil twins, even demonic possession—but an unearned offscreen death of a major character? That’s how audiences tune out for good.

This has to be misdirection.
Adding irony to the mix, while Peter is condemning others to death, spoilers indicate his own life is in danger. He’s facing a medical crisis and needs a proxy—yet no one wants the responsibility. Not even Kristen. And if Peter dies onscreen, we all know what that means in Salem.
Enter Dr. Wilhelm Rolf.
Death is never final where Rolf is concerned. So why bring Peter Blake back just to kill him off weeks later? Either he survives—or he dies and comes back stronger and more dangerous than ever.
Which circles us right back to Stefan.
If Stefan really were dead, Rolf would be the only hope. But how would Rolf get the body? Unless Vivian has it on ice…
This storyline is a pressure cooker. If Stefan’s death is a fake-out, the reveal will be explosive. If it’s real? It would be a monumental mistake.
So now I turn it over to you.
Is Peter Blake telling the truth as he understands it? Is Vivian truly capable of killing her own son? Or is this her most elaborate manipulation yet? And most importantly—are the writers really willing to give Stefan DiMera an offscreen death?
Sound off below. We’re going to need strong coffee for the weeks ahead.
Until next time, Salemites—keep one eye open
