New Season, New Drama: 7 Little Johnstons Drops New Season Teaser — But Where’s Anna?
Anna Johnston is hoping to end the longstanding feud with her family.

On the same day TLC released the first trailer for the upcoming season of 7 Little Johnstons, Anna went Live on TikTok to talk about the new season— which she will not be a part of. She also expressed her desire to stop feuding with her parents and siblings.
(As fans of the show know, Anna has been estranged from her parents Amber and Trent, as well as her brothers and sisters, for a while. Last season, Anna’s estrangement from the family provided a major storyline, but Anna stated last year that she was done filming for the show, and seems to have made good on that promise, given that she does not appear in the Season 17 trailer.)

Anna answered questions from fans while on TikTok Live, including one that inquired if she misses her family.
“Absolutely,” she said. “That’s the tough thing. You kind of just got to hide it and just keep to yourself. If we all made up now, and were once again family, that would literally make my day.
“It would make my whole year, but it’s tough,” Anna added.
Back in November, Anna blasted her family on a Live, pointing out that, without her being on the show, they would have no storyline.
“Y’all wouldn’t have a show if it wasn’t for me!” Anna said at the time. “Y’all still talk about me when I’m not even in the scene. Y’all stay talking about me! Y’all have to make dumb scenes to draw attention!”

During the same Live in November, Anna explained why she would not return to “7 Little Johnstons” for Season 17.
“I think it is sad that the last season [I’ll be part of] is ending like this because I did not want it,” she said. “I want y’all to see the good side and not just people bashing me and everything like that. Bashing me for dumb stuff that they’re apparently getting onto me about, you know? So that’s hard.”
Anna said her decision to quit filming for the show came because it was taking a toll on her mental health.
“It was hard to say no to another season but it just got to be mentally that I just had to, you know, stop [filming],” she said.
During her TikTok Live on Thursday, though, Anna seemed sad about how the estrangement has continued, even adding at one point that she wishes she was going to be on the show again, only because it would mean that she would be spending time with her family.

“Sometimes, you’ve just gotta be strong,” Anna said, later adding that she doesn’t intend to watch the new season. Season 17 will seemingly focus heavily on the wedding of Anna’s sister, Liz to Brice Bolden, an event Anna was not invited to. (Anna has stated that she would have gladly gone to the wedding, had she been invited.)
She also discussed on Thursday’s Live how upset she is about the whole wedding situation and that it’s airing on the show.
The 17th season of “7 Little Johnstons” premieres Tuesday, March 17 on TLC.
