Danny is grieving, angry, and desperate. With Jason trapped in WSB custody and Sam McCall gone, he feels more alone than ever. Instead of processing that pain, he is channeling it into something reckless: a determination to become “Jason 2.0.” But that fantasy could destroy him before he ever understands what he is truly stepping into.
The idea seems simple in Danny’s mind. Jason always solved problems through Sonny Corinthos and the mob. Jason always found a way to protect the people he loved. So Danny believes that if he joins Sonny’s world, he can bring his father home.
That is why he shocks everyone by going directly to Sonny and asking for a job.
To Sonny’s credit, he immediately shuts the idea down. He knows that neither Jason nor Sam would ever want Danny involved in that life. But Sonny’s rejection does little to stop him. Danny is too hurt, too impulsive, and too convinced that violence is the answer.

After eavesdropping on a private conversation between Sonny and Ric Lansing, Danny becomes convinced that Sidwell orchestrated the entire chain of events that led to Jason’s arrest and Britt Westbourne’s failed escape. Suddenly, Danny no longer sees the WSB as a faceless enemy. He has a specific target.
And that target is deadly.

The most tragic part is that Danny is not Jason. Jason’s cold, detached instincts came from a traumatic brain injury. Danny is still a teenager full of fear, grief, and raw emotion. He is trying to imitate a man whose life was built on pain and survival.
And unless someone stops him, Danny is going to learn the hard way that Jason Morgan’s life was never something to aspire to. It was a warning.
