Monday’s episode of Days of Our Lives may seem relatively quiet on the surface, but underneath that calm, several storylines are poised to take dramatic turns. In Salem, it often isn’t the loud confrontations that matter most—it’s the subtle conversations that quietly change everything.

One of the most significant shifts may happen between Stephanie Johnson and Alex Kiriakis. Stephanie has reached a point of emotional exhaustion.

She tried to be honest with Alex and hoped they could work through their issues, but instead, he reacted out of hurt and frustration.

Rather than trying to repair the relationship, Alex allowed old wounds to resurface before walking away.

That leaves Stephanie feeling more alone than ever—and vulnerable to finding comfort somewhere else. Enter Jeremy Horton. Jeremy may not need to make a grand move or declare his feelings.

All he has to do is listen. When someone no longer feels understood by the person they love, the one person who offers patience and support can suddenly become far more important than expected. Stephanie may not realize it yet, but she could already be drifting emotionally toward Jeremy.

At the same time, Alex may be heading down a similar path. If he begins leaning on Joy for support, both he and Stephanie could find themselves emotionally stepping outside their relationship at the same time.

Meanwhile, Theo Carver is carrying a burden that is becoming harder and harder to hide. After his session with Dr. Marlena Evans, it is clear that Theo is overwhelmed by everything happening surrounding Lexi.

He is trying to keep himself together, but when he sits down with Gabi Hernandez, she may begin to realize that something is terribly wrong.

Theo probably will not tell Gabi the full truth, but his pain may be impossible to hide completely. A pause, a strange reaction, or the weight behind his words could be enough to convince Gabi that he is hiding something much bigger than ordinary stress. By the end of their conversation, she may leave with the unsettling feeling that Theo is trapped in something darker than he can admit.

Elsewhere, Chanel Dupree reunites with Lani Price, and what begins as a warm reunion could quickly turn into an emotional breakthrough. Lani is one of the few people Chanel completely trusts, and that may allow Chanel to finally open up about the growing strain in her marriage to Johnny.

Instead of brushing their problems aside, Chanel may finally admit how deeply exhausted and disappointed she feels. Saying those feelings out loud could mark a turning point, because once buried emotions come to the surface, they become impossible to ignore.

Finally, the most ominous storyline may belong to Rafe Hernandez and Cat Greene. Their investigation into the mysterious empty pod suggests that something far more disturbing may still be unfolding in Salem. The discovery raises frightening questions about Lexi, EJ’s obsession with bringing her back, and whether someone has already taken dangerous scientific experiments much too far.

By the end of the episode, Salem may be left with more questions than answers—but every conversation will have opened a door that may be impossible to close.
