OK, this is a twist we didn’t see coming on General Hospital, but now that it has, we realize how blind we were! Because as of Wednesday’s episode, Cullum has declared that Jack can never wake up from his stroke.

And we’ve got a sinking feeling that translates to: Jack has to die! We really thought that if anyone was going to take him out because of Nina’s accidental drugging, it would be Valentin.
But the odds of that seemed fairly low, and once Brennan was hauled off to the hospital, he seemed to be out of immediate danger.
Then we got Cullum. At first, he bought the story that Jack had a stroke and considered it lucky, because he was about to have him whacked.
That was good enough to get him out of the way for the Big Bad — until Sidwell told his partner what really happened! Jack was stabbed with Drew’s drug and in time, he’d likely wake on his own.

That’s when Cullum said he can’t wake up or they’re all toast. And that makes horrifying sense! When we were imagining the aftermath of this, we were just figuring in how much trouble Nina and Willow would be in when Jack woke up and started asking questions. But we didn’t quite expect Willow to be so ruthless as to run straight to Sidwell with what happened!
If Jack wakes up and he starts pulling at the thread of what happens, eventually, it will lead back to Sidwell and Cullum. If he can survive this, it could be the beginning of the end for the two villains.
But that’s a big “if.” His only hope may be if Nina’s guilt gets the better of her and she steps in and says something to stop Cullum before he can strike.
But Nina would have to move fast. Because sure, they could keep drugging Jack and keep him locked-in, or they could just do what Sidwell wanted to do to begin with: Kill Brennan.
Better to have him die from “complications” of the stroke, than have people start asking how two men could have the same thing happen to them in the same house. Liz is already suspicious. Sending Brennan down the same path as Drew, no matter what, will lead to too many questions.
One way or another, Jack has to die.
