Fans Stunned After General Hospital Reveals Surprise Actress Replacing Kate Mansi

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate Kate Mansi has exited the role of Kristina Corinthos-Davis, so will the ABC soap decide to recast the part, and who will replace her?

As per a report that was released on Sunday, May 24, Mansi has already wrapped up filming on the show as of April.

This means Kristina’s days are numbered in the land of Port Charles.

Additionally, Frank Valentini, General Hospital’s executive producer, did make a statement saying that the daytime drama supported Mansi’s decision to opt out of renewing her contract, and the door is always open for her to return to GH.

Still, back in January 2025, when Chad Duell left the show, Valentini made a similar comment, only to recast the Michael Corinthos role months later.

Rory Gibson was chosen to step into Michael’s shoes, and he entered storylines in May of that year.

The door of course would be open, but if Kristina needs to come back to move a storyline along, then the show would be forced to go with recast.

So, could the same thing that happened with Michael, happen to Kristina?

Mansi debuted as Kristina in 2023 under somewhat controversial circumstances.

Actress Lexie Ainsworth, a fan favorite who played the character on and off since 2009, was let go in 2023 to allow for a fresh and new version of Kristina to enter the canvas, played by Mansi.

As such, with the news of Mansi leaving GH, many fans are hoping that if the show decides to go the recast route, they’ll reach out to Ainsworth.

In some viewers’ minds, this could possibly rewrite a wrong that producers made three years ago.

With that said, social media has been buzzing about Mansi’s exit and other recast options beyond Ainsworth.

@SourceRyan on X (formerly known as Twitter) pointed out two options: Days of Our Lives (DOOL) alum Camila Banus (ex-Gabi Hernandez) or The Young and the Restless (Y&R) alum Allison Lanier (ex-Summer Newman).

Another user on X, @Isn’tDaveOne, suggested an alternative DOOL alum, Victoria Konefal (ex-Ciara Brady Weston).

Days of Our Lives’ Ciara does have a similar look and feel to Kristina, so it’s no shocker that DOOL alum, Vivian Jovanni’s name, who played Ciara Brady from 2015 to 2017, before Konefal stepped into the role, was brought forward as well, by @aboutnici on X.

Regardless, it does feel as if GH fans have very strong feelings about Kristina leaving the canvas and really would love to see her stay in storylines, even if Mansi is exiting.

General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, May 26, tease that Kristina is about to get some massive news, so it sounds like this could be the beginning of Mansi’s exit from storylines.
