Actor from General Hospital was unexpectedly terminated from his contract, and a replacement has been found.

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) recently dropped a hint about someone taking over the project since Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is still missing.

The June 2 GH episode brought a debate about the project’s future with Britt out of the picture.

Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was irritated over Britt evading Cullum’s attempts to find her since he has unlimited resources at his fingertips.

However, Cullum pointed out that they’re dealing with Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) daughter, so Britt possesses skills and talents that they’re unaware of.

Sidwell argued that the project can’t move forward without Britt’s knowledge and insisted that the work she’s done is irreplaceable.

Cullum couldn’t deny that, but he also thought it was time to embrace the idea of replacing Dr. Westbourne anyway.

Since Cullum hasn’t revealed his pick just yet, that gives us a chance to speculate.

Not just anyone can fill Britt’s shoes, so who will Cullum ultimately recommend?

Could Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) be the person Cullum has in mind as Britt’s replacement?

It wouldn’t be too hard for Britt’s mother to be brought up to speed, especially considering Obrecht’s history with Faison and all the scientific knowledge she brings to the table.

Liesl would be uniquely qualified to take over the final phase of the project.

Of course, there’s no way Obrecht would do so willingly, but that’s not an issue for Cullum and Sidwell.

Britt wasn’t participating voluntarily either, so Sidwell and Cullum are used to threatening people to get what they want.

Liesl may end up fearing for the lives of her loved ones depending on the threats that Cullum and Sidwell deliver.

The goal may be to back Obrecht into a corner and give her no choice but to pick up where Britt left off.

GH spoilers say Liesl is in for a rude awakening on Friday, June 5, so she might get ambushed and kidnapped.

It’s easy to see Obrecht being forced to Wyndemere for a conversation about a new job.

Liesl will deliver a warning on Friday’s episode as well, but it may not matter much if Sidwell and Cullum’s threats are worse.

It’s also possible “Nathan West” aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) will be tasked with helping keep Obrecht in line.

Whether Liesl finds out the truth about Cassius or not, she’s not going to be pleased if she’s forced into a tight spot like this.
