General Hospital’s Willow Storyline Has One *Huge* Twist Left… and Here It Comes!
They say good things come to those who wait, and goodness knows General Hospital fans have had their patience tested where Willow and Drew are concerned.
But over the past week or so, the twists have come fast and furious. First, Willow’s flashback revealed that she was the person who’d tried to assassinate Congressman Cutthroat.
Moments later, a jury of her peers declared her to be “not guilty,” a verdict which meant that — thanks to double jeopardy laws — she can’t be charged with the crime down the line.
Then came what felt like the biggest shock of all when, while celebrating the verdict with her spouse, Willow whipped out a syringe and injected him in the neck!
Now, even as Drew’s fate hangs in the balance, we’re awaiting one final twist. Why? Because we’re pretty sure that the audience isn’t alone in their knowledge that Willow shot Drew. What if he, unbeknownst to his would-be widow, is in on it, too!
Think about it: For weeks, Drew has been more interested in pointing the finger at Michael than in uncovering the real identity of his shooter. No matter how much he might want to see Willow’s ex-husband — along with the entire Quartermaine family — suffer, wouldn’t Drew want the police to find the person who actually pulled the trigger?
Yet he seems more interested in where to vacation with his newly-acquitted wife than who might still be out there attempting to end both his political career and his life!
There are only two scenarios in which his disinterest makes sense. The first would be if Drew was responsible for his own shooting. But if he’d paid someone to pull the trigger — making sure the shots would be convincing but not actually fatal — the politico would also have made sure evidence was left behind which would lead the police directly to Michael’s doorstep.
That didn’t happen, so we’re ruling out that option.
Which leads us to believe that Drew somehow knows exactly what Willow did but is keeping silent. Why? Two reasons: To make Michael pay for a crime he didn’t commit, and to have an ace up his sleeve to use should Willow try and end their marriage.
