General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms Speaks Out, Not Returning As Maxie Jones
General Hospital spoilers note Kirsten Storms will not return to the Maxie Jones role.
The actress recently updated fans on Instagram about her life and future at the ABC soap.

She posted a four-page note titled, “Update (again), this topic is difficult to address … but here we go …” on the social media platform.
Storms addressed the situation regarding the emergency restraining order that her ex-husband,
Brandon Barash (ex-Days of Our Lives’ Stefan DiMera/Jake DiMera, ex-GH, Johnny Zacchara) filed in late April of this year, where their 12-year-old daughter, Harper Rose Barash, was concerned.
In the IG note, the actress claimed to have seen an online story that stated she reported the break-in after Barash’s late-April filing.
Storms made it clear that she had reported the break-ins before her ex-husband filed his claim.
The actress pointed out that she placed evidence on her IG before Barash’s filing, showing a broken apartment door lock.
She notes that this happened months before Barash filed his court documents.
Storms stated in the note that while she had waited before posting the photos on Instagram, she had filed reports with the police and the building when the incident occurred.
The actress claimed in the note that she has since moved out of that apartment unit.
Storms’ IG note went on to reveal that moving from Los Angeles to Tennessee as a single mom for 50% of the time, with a brain aneurysm, was difficult as it was; realizing that her apartment and privacy were violated was even more upsetting.

The soap actress thanked fans for their support and DMs. Near the end of the Instagram note, she dropped some major news about her future at General Hospital.
The actress stated that, given her circumstances and recent evidence of the ‘downside of her profession’, she does not feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles to resume work.
Storms notes that, “My daughter is my entire life, she is (and always will be) my first priority.”
Kirsten Storms has had a difficult time most of 2025 and all of 2026 as she’s dealt with some major problems in her personal life.
She’s documented some of it on Instagram, including a claim that her apartment was broken into, as well as iCloud and Wi-Fi hacks.
He ex-husband, Barash, alleged in late April during his emergency restraining order filing that Storms told him she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and didn’t believe she should have Harper for her parenting time.
General Hospital spoilers note that while Storms may not be returning to the soap any time soon, this doesn’t mean that Maxie Jones won’t be seen in Port Charles, so is a recast on its way?
