Credit: ABCIt’s been over two years since we saw Esme go overboard that boat in Paris with Spencer on General Hospital and while Port Charles’ former baddie has been presumed dead, her portrayer has stayed busy landing new gigs and her most recent will leave viewers shouting, “Ruh-roh!” — but not in a bad way… As reported by our sister site, Deadline, Avery Kristen Pohl just landed a role in Netflix’s Scooby-Doo: Origins.

Though her character details have yet to be released, she’ll be joining another soap alum, The Young and the Restless’ Mckenna Grace (ex-Faith), who will lead as Daphne Blake, plus, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones.

Of her new role, Pohl shared on her official Instagram, “Dog’s outta the bag… so grateful to work with so many talented and kind individuals.” And meet the “goodest boy in Scooby-Doo: Origins” below…

The production, which is currently filming in Atlanta, is described as a “modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog.” This time, the crew will be drawn into a mystery while spending their final summer at camp — one that involves a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that could have been witness to a supernatural murder. While they work together to solve the case, each finds themselves pulled into a scary nightmare, one that could very well expose their deepest secrets.
