Ethan clearly knows that Phoebe’s bio dad is bad news and is working to protect her from the threat.
Since Ethan went digging in a cold case evidence box to get DNA for the sample switch, that tells us Phoebe’s father is likely a criminal.
This could be tied to someone from GH history if this involves a real case that played out on the show.
Regardless, summer preview spoilers indicate that Ethan will grow closer to Ava Jerome (Maura West) and make a big confession – most likely about Phoebe’s true father.
It’ll be a moment of weakness for Ethan, who may feel like he has to get the truth off his chest.
Ava will definitely be taken aback once Ethan comes clean and trusts her enough to spill this shocker.
Later, someone from Ethan’s past will derail things as he’s heading into romantic territory with Ava.
Ethan will realize the situation is turning dangerous and may grow concerned for Phoebe as well as himself.
