Mama June: From Not to Hot Trailer: How a Family Fallout Could RUIN Jessica’s Wedding

Just when viewers think they know the Shannon family, “Mama June: From Hot to Not” is back to prove them wrong. The newly released season 8 teaser trailer promises explosive confrontations, shocking secrets, and a wedding that may not survive the mounting family drama.

The sneak peek zeroes in on daughter Jessica’s upcoming nuptials. Instead of traditional wedding bliss, the trailer is filled with ominous one-liners that suggest disaster ahead.

“Be dysfunctional by yourself because I’m done with you,” Jessica snaps at Mama June as she storms out of the house with wedding décor, capturing the rising tension between Jessica, her fiancée Shyann, and their families.

Longtime feuds and old wounds are also dragged back into the spotlight. When Pumpkin introduces her boyfriend Darren, her ex-husband Josh Efird doesn’t hold back, admitting, “Seeing Pumpkin and Darren together really makes my damn skin crawl.”

The former couple finalized their divorce in September 2024, and Josh welcomed a child with another woman shortly after. “You made a whole other family,” Pumpkin fires at him during a heated exchange.

As the season unfolds, alliances shift and new enemies emerge. Wedding planning for Jessica and Shyann becomes a major storyline — particularly with two “mothers of the bride” involved. “At the wedding, there’s going to be two mothers of the bride,” Mama June explains, before Shyann bluntly warns, “She could make this like the worst wedding ever.”

At one point, Shyann admits to Jessica, “I don’t even want to be near your mom,” as tensions grow so intense that the wedding itself is thrown into question.
