In Logan’s showroom, Brooke rails at Katie, “How could you!” and accuses her of using her daughter to get back at her. She declares that Hope is not staying there. This is not happening!

Brooke screams that Katie has committed a crime against her family. She promised there would be no more lies or manipulation. Katie says there were no lies or manipulations. Brooke screeches, “How can you say that?! You STOLE my daughter!”

Katie argues that she didn’t use or manipulate Hope, who is a Spencer. Brooke protests that she’s part of the Forrester family. Katie stole from them again! Katie gave Hope want she wanted and deserved; control and independence. She won’t be undervalued there.

Brooke fumes that they’re relaunching Hope For the Future tomorrow. Katie says, “Not anymore,” and invites Brooke to go ahead and see her as the villain. Brooke pouts that she must hate her so much. Katie asks why Brooke can’t acknowledge her daughter’s accomplishment. Brooke warns Hope made a mistake, but she’ll no longer be under Katie’s thumb.

Guilt Trip

In the Logan office, Hope tells Liam this feels like a new chapter for her… she just doesn’t know how she’ll explain it to her mother. She guesses she feels hurt and betrayed. She’ll have to face her sooner rather than later.

They recap events and Hope wonders if her mom will ever be happy for her. She wishes she knew how she was taking the news. Honestly, it’s surprising she can’t hear her hollering down in the showroom!

More rehashing ensues until Liam asks Hope what she’d say to their daughter if she’d had to make the choice she just had to make. She can’t keep feeling guilty. He’s sure Brooke will come around. Hope hopes he’s right, but she’s terrified she’s destroyed relationships with this move.

Hope marvels at the positive experience she’s had at Logan, but worries about her team at Forrester, like Zende. She did this and will have to live with the consequences. It will hurt a lot of people… especially her mother. We get it!

Bond Broken

Down in the showroom, Brooke’s still going as she accuses Katie of being selfish. Katie, gobsmacked, asks, “Me? You can’t even be happy for your own daughter, for everything she accomplished today.” All she can think about is how this affects her! Brooke whines that this also affects Zende, Electra, and Donna, who lied for her. She declares the bond between them is broken! Katie’s had enough. She hired Hope and Deke because they’re talented. It’s good business. Brooke narrows her eyes and calls her a – gasp! – Spencer. She can’t even look at her.

Loyalty Test

At the Forrester mansion, Donna tries getting an upset Eric to talk to her. He sighs that he can see she’s sorry, but what was she thinking keeping Katie’s plan a secret from Forrester… and from him. “How could you do that?!” Funny, it wasn’t so bad when she hid his secret from Forrester!

Donna protests that she didn’t think it would affect his line. Katie and Hope swore her to secrecy. Eric intones that he is her husband. Her loyalty belongs to him!

Eric grunts that he’s going upstairs, but he stops to reiterate that Donna kept him completely in the dark. Is she loyal to him and Forrester? Or Katie and Logan? Donna pleaded with them not to go through with it. Eric seethes that she should have warned Forrester… they were blindsided! Donna apologizes and seeks forgiveness.

The Final Scenes

At the Forrester mansion, Donna begs Eric to tell her they’re going to be OK. Katie and Hope put her in this terrible position. Moving close, she coos, “I love you.” She wants to make it better. “Tell me there’s something I can do to make this better, Eric.” Unfortunately, Honey Bear pulls away and heads upstairs.

At Logan, Liam tells Hope to stop thinking of everyone but herself. She deserves this. “You earned this, Hope Spencer.” She nods.

In the showroom, Brooke, ever the dramatic, asks Katie, “Who are you?” Katie defends herself for supporting Hope and standing by her. She listened to her and gave her what she needed. “I followed through.” This all makes Brooke sick. She sees the contempt in her eyes, just like Stephanie used to look at her. The jealousy she’s held onto all these years is finally coming to bloom.

Tearing up, Brooke reminds Katie how hard she worked to keep the family together when their mother died. This is how she repays her?! She stole her name, Eric’s designs, and her daughter! Picking up a velvet box, she whips it past Katie’s head, smashing the Hope by Logan screen into shards.

Marching over and getting up in Katie’s face, Brooke vows to get her daughter out of there. She’s going to save her, “And there’s nothing you can do to stop me!”
