The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, July 8, reveals that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may come to Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) rescue while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) faces a crushing blow. Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will also get some big news, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on Y&R.

At Society, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will give Daniel updates on his marriage proposal plan officially being in motion.

Since Danny is ready to spend the rest of his life with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), he’ll want to pull out all the stops for a romantic evening together.

Danny already gave Daniel a heads-up on his decision, but now he’ll lock in the details of his upcoming grand gesture.

If all goes well, Christina may have a ring on her finger later during the week of July 7-11.

In the meantime, Mariah will push Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to her limit with all the secrecy and this whole separation.

Tessa won’t understand why Mariah would rather destroy their marriage than get honest and work through this together.

Although Mariah will feel terrible about the position she’s putting Tessa in, she feels like this is something she has to work through on her own.

Based on Mariah’s flashbacks, it seems like a criminal cover-up may be involved.

Mariah may be trying to avoid pulling Tessa into something that’ll incriminate her, but there’ll be a price to pay.

Tessa will decide that perhaps this separation should become a more permanent thing, so Mariah will realize divorce is already on the table.

It’ll be a crushing blow, but it may not be enough to convince Mariah to come clean.

Across town, Victoria will face a real low point now that Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) has taken his last breath.

It’ll be hard to let go of all the plans they made together, so Victoria will struggle as she mourns on Tuesday’s Y&R show.

Thankfully, someone from Victoria’s history will come to her rescue.

Although Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will inevitably offer comfort at some point in the coming episodes, it seems Chelsea will be first in line.

Since Victoria’s family members are all the way in France right now, Chelsea will come through for Victoria and offer a sympathetic ear.

It’ll allow Chelsea to make herself useful while she waits for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to return home.
