Young & Restless’ Next Supervillain Is Already On the Show in Plain Sight
Call us crazy — you wouldn’t be the first — but we suspect that Young & Restless is positioning little Harrison to be the show’s next psycho supervillain.
As a Reddit poster pointed out, the youngster’s “real mom is in prison. He thinks his real mom is Summer, who has abandoned him and moved to Italy.
He wants Claire to be his mom, but she would rather be partying with Holden. His grandmother came back from the dead.
“The most significant mother figure in his life,” they added, “is the invisible Mrs. Martinez who Jack keeps chained up in the kitchen. Poor kid!”
“Actually,” noted another poster, “two of his grandmothers faked their deaths” — Diane and Phyllis. Plus, the man he thought at the start of his life was his father died. Harrison is bound for both Mommy and Daddy issues.
And Young & Restless is going to need new psychos. Headwriter Josh Griffith seems to love nut-of-the-week plots, and he’s already killed off Cameron and Aunt Jordan, resurrected Matt Clark and unleashed Ian Ward on Mariah’s psyche.
He’s either going to have to raise David Kimble from the grave or increase the soap’s hairspray budget to bring back Brad Carlton’s onetime stalker, Lisa Mansfield.
That, or the EP could SORAS Harrison into the scariest JV maniac since Stitch’s son Max set up a tripwire to ensure that stepmom Abby would miscarry. What do you think? No way Harrison emerges from his chaotic upbringing unscathed, right?
