Young & Restless’ Zuleyka Silver Reveals How the Show Hid Her Injury and More
As viewers, we always get to see the finished product each weekday on our favorite soaps but did you ever wonder what goes in to bringing our favorite characters to the screen? The Young and the Restless’ Zuleyka Silver (Audra) recently revealed just that by posting a video of “what a typical day on a soap set looks like.”

During her behind-the-scenes tour of a normal day of filming, the CBS soap actress took fans along with her through the “fast-paced, a little chaotic” routine and showed how they “make it work.” First she introduced everyone to Jerry, one of the show’s makeup artists then explained how her day always starts with applying products. “And I love corner lashes.
” Then it was off to get her hair done by the soap’s lovely and talented Michelle. “It takes a village.” From there, the camera panned behind the scenes as she walked down the stairs and headed off to get dressed. Once she was all glammed up, Silver gave a glimpse of the “terrible bruise” she got on her shin while doing jiu-jitsu and how she “had to make everyone work harder” to cover it up.
Down the hall she went, to run lines with Courtney Hope (Sally), then off she continued to do some blocking. Just wait until you get a look at what “always scares the crap” out of her — and we can see why! After a little fun with some of her castmates, including getting Jason Thompson (Billy) to “do the dance,” she and Hope went straight to tape — in one take — then moved on and concluded, “You just gotta bring it!”
So, there you have it… a day in the life with a soap actress!
