Y&R star Jermaine Rivers returns in a new role – it will shock you.

Jermaine Rivers has been making moves since his appearance on The Young and the Restless. To the viewers, he was notable for his role as Damian, whom Lily almost fell in love with before he was murdered at Cane’s Nice estate. The actor is adding producer and director to his crowded resume. He will make his directorial debut with The Housekeeper’s Code.

From Soap Actor to Director

After his brief time on Y&R, Rivers made a smooth transition from acting to directing. According to a recent press release, he’s producing and directing his first film under his production company, Dirty Boots Films LLC.

He took on the role of Executive Producer and Director of this product. Rivers’ debut film, The Housekeeper’s Code, is a romantic comedy starring Rivers as Jamal Stephens, a businessman working in the fast-paced world of tech.

He’s close to closing a billion-dollar deal in Atlanta that could change everything. Things go awry when Jamal ends up in a love triangle with Erica Devereux (Bea W. Bliss) and Tina Mitchell (Crystal-Lee Naomi).

While Jamal knows that Erica is the love of his life, he can’t help but be drawn to his ex-girlfriend. He also has insane chemistry with both ladies, which makes this situation even more complicated.

The synopsis teases, “What follows is a game of cat and mouse, subterfuge and inevitable love triangle that will threaten Jamal and Erica’s happily ever after.”

The Housekeeper’s Code will start filming later this month. He’s currently represented by Established Arts and Eris Talent.

Known For His Role as Damian Kane

Rivers’ debut film sounds like it was inspired by the soaps. Prior to his time on Y&R, Rivers had appeared in several television roles. His acting credits include Devious Maids, Dynasty, If Loving You is Wrong, The Haves and the Have Nots, and Sweet Magnolias, as per his IMDb profile.
