Nanny Faye has a confession to make: living with Todd Chrisley requires some patience.
The 82-year-old Chrisley Knows Best star appeared on the Chrisley Confessions podcast on May 20, where she spoke about all the ways her son has tried to boss her around since they started living together again.
During the episode, host Julie, 53, who has been married to Todd since 1996, asked, “Tell me, how is it living with Todd again?” because “Todd kind of likes to get up in your business sometimes.”
“He likes to think he’s the mama, and I ain’t died and left him yet,” Faye admitted, then added that she sometimes feels treated like a “child” when Julie said, “He likes to think he’s the boss.”
As Julie began suggesting the ways in which Todd, 57, tries to implement suggestions to his mother’s life, like what she should eat and wear, Faye said that it’s her hair that Todd is worried about.

“He wants me to go get it cut, he wants me to go do it this way, well, I’m not going to do any other way. I’ve earned this white hair, so I’m gonna wear it,” she said.
In addition to Todd, Faye is mother to two other sons, Randy and Derrick, with her late husband, Gene Chrisley.
Todd isn’t just harping on his mama’s appearance, though. Sitting down for a July 2025 episode of the podcast, he and Julie reflected on their releases from prison, which were made possible under a pardon from President Donald Trump. (The couple was indicted on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy in 2019 and went to prison in January 2023.)
The conversation shifted to Julie’s change in hair, which had turned brown and gray during her incarceration (Julie is most known for her blonde look).

“Listen, I will say, you set the bar low. You had to go nowhere but up,” said Todd of Julie’s return to blonde, whose comment did not please his wife of nearly 30 years.
“That wasn’t very nice,” remarked Julie, while he doubled down on his statement. “I’m just trying to be honest. I’m not gonna lie, I first saw you, when I got out of that car, I started thinking about going back [to prison]. But then I thought, let me embrace this.”
“I mean, it was a rough moment. It was a rough moment because I’d never seen you dark in my life. Julie, 30 years, I’ve never seen you with dark hair,” he added.
