Todd Chrisley’s son, Kyle, indicted on charges of assaulting Rutherford County deputies

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (NewsNation) — Kyle Chrisley has been indicted on multiple counts stemming from his December 2025 arrest in Rutherford County.

A Tennessee grand jury indicted Kyle Chrisley, the eldest son of Todd Chrisley and his ex-wife, Teresa Terry, on June 2 on three counts of assault on law enforcement, three counts of retaliation for past action, one count of resisting arrest, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of public intoxication, according to Us Weekly.

He “unlawfully and knowingly” assaulted a law enforcement officer by “striking” them with a hand or fist, court documents obtained by the outlet show.

Kyle Chrisley is also accused of threatening “to kill” an officer for being arrested and resisting arrest.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault at the time of his December 2025 arrest.

His wife, Ashleigh Nelson, told Rutherford County deputies that her husband was behaving belligerently and walking down the middle of the road while she followed him in her vehicle, per Us Weekly. When authorities tried to speak with him, he allegedly became aggressive.

The misdemeanor domestic assault was later dismissed after his indictment.

Kyle Chrisley’s previous arrests

The most recent incident isn’t Kyle Chrisley’s first brush with the law. He was arrested in 2013 for assault, which resulted in Todd and Julie Chrisley taking custody of Kyle Chrisley’s daughter, Chloe.

According to Us Weekly, Kyle Chrisley was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, which was dismissed.

In September 2024, he was arrested and accused of aggravated assault, and in August 2025, he and Nelson claimed that he was unfairly arrested, suing Rutherford County and a pair of deputies for $1.7 million.
