General Hospital’s Avery Kristen Pohl Reveals New Role, Big Announcement for Former Esme Prince

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Avery Kristen Pohl (ex-Esme Prince) has a reason to celebrate now that she’s scored a fun new gig. Pohl just confirmed her next project and seems excited about what’s in store.

Former GH Bad Girl Joins Netflix's Live-Action Scooby-Doo

On Instagram, Pohl shared a screenshot of a story about Scooby-Doo: Origins and their latest announcement.

It turns out Pohl is joining the cast, so she’ll be part of this Netflix show once it streams globally in 2027.

As Pohl spilled about her involvement, she offered praise to all the wonderful people she’s working with to bring this project to life.

“Dog’s outta the bag…so grateful to work with so many talented and kind individuals,” Pohl said.

Of course, it didn’t take long for Pohl’s former castmates to cheer her on in the comments.

Tabyana Ali (Trina Robinson), Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Cain), Sydney Mikayla (ex-Trina Robinson), Jophielle Love (ex-Violet Finn) and others with GH ties shared heartfelt words of support.

Although details on Avery Kristen Pohl’s role are being kept under wraps for now, this is certainly fantastic news.

GH fans may want to tune in and watch Pohl in Scooby-Doo: Origins when the time comes.

We should mention there’s another name attached to this project that should be familiar to some soap viewers.

McKenna Grace (ex-Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless) is playing Daphne Blake in this live-action series that’s already in production in Atlanta.

Avery Kristen Pohl Readies to Meet Fans, Talks Esme's Mother

As for Avery Kristen Pohl’s role as Esme Prince in Port Charles, there’s always a chance she might make a comeback someday.

Esme haunted Laura Collins (Genie Francis) in a nightmare back in December 2025, but maybe she could return in the flesh at some point.

Since Esme’s body was never found after she fell into the Seine, it’d be pretty easy to undo her presumed demise.

Even Pohl herself previously told SOD that she doesn’t think Esme is dead, so perhaps she could show up alive sooner or later.

In the meantime, General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be plenty of other chaos playing out in PC, so stay tuned to the ABC soap.
