The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, June 25, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will do whatever it takes to help Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) creates a distraction for Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and bolts.

At Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) house, he’ll find Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) looking upset on his sofa.

Diane will insist she’s exhausted and emotionally drained, so she’ll pressure Dr. Markham for sleeping pills.

Although Diane will play up her constant nightmares about Patty moving in with Jack, Dr. Markham will be reluctant to prescribe anything.

Dr. Markham will also warn Diane that despite her good progress, they could be working together for quite some time.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack will talk to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) idea to break in Dr. Markham’s house.

Jack didn’t want Kyle going that far, but he’ll consider breaking in himself in hopes of finding Diane or at least gathering more info.

Billy will worry about Jack committing a crime and will fret over Dr. Markham potentially being just as twisted as Patty.

Jack will just want Billy to focus on his family with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and will ultimately send him off to a doctor’s appointment.

Once Patty comes home from a shopping spree, she’ll want to model clothes for Jack later.

Patty will also get frustrated over Jack fixating on Diane and will hint that maybe Diane should just become collateral damage.

Jack will make it clear that threats about Diane aren’t going to turn him on, so Patty will dial it down and push Jack to distract her from all these hurtful Diane thoughts.

After Jack plants a kiss on Thursday’s Y&R episode, he’ll urge Patty to get them some martinis.

Jack will kiss Patty once again and bite her lip before she heads in the other room.

That’ll give Jack a chance to slip away, but Patty will guess he might be headed for Dr. Markham’s house and will give the doc a heads-up over the phone.

Dr. Markham will hint that they might be able to use that to their advantage.

Once Dr. Markham disconnects, he’ll tell Diane that her worst nightmare seems to have come true since Patty has moved in with Jack at his request.

At the hospital, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will complain about her headache not going away and about her vision that keeps getting darker.

Nikki will barely even be able to make out Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) face, so she’ll be terrified.

Dr. Nowling (Doug Tompos) will eventually admit that he was going to discuss radiation and other treatment options at Nikki’s follow-up appointment, but now she needs surgery ASAP.

Unfortunately, there won’t be a surgeon with the skills necessary to perform this procedure at Genoa Cit Memorial Hospital.

Victoria will alert Victor to what’s going on, so he’ll plan to find Nikki the best surgeon possible.

After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) shows up at the ranch, Victor will give him the bad news about Nikki’s mass and the potential for her to go blind.

Nick will support Victoria at the hospital, where she’ll admit the plan is to remove as much of the mass as possible to save Nikki’s vision and then shrink what’s left using radiation.

However, Victoria will warn that the surgery is high risk due to the chance of damage being done to Nikki’s eye control and the flow to her brain.

After Victor makes some calls, he’ll also get Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) on the phone to ask if he’s heard of a Dr. Virgiina Nottingham based out of New York.

Nate will admit she has a great reputation and pass the phone over to Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) since she knows Dr. Nottingham personally.

Stephanie will recommend Dr. Nottingham and agree to get in touch with her, so she’ll leave voicemails, texts and messages through her service in case she’s in surgery.

While Nikki’s getting more tests done, Victor will join Victoria, Nick and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) at the hospital.

That’s where Victor will announce that he thinks he’s found the best surgeon in the country, but Victoria will wonder when she can get there.

Victoria will fear there may not be much time left to save Nikki’s sight.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newmans will rally around Nikki during her awful crisis, so stay tuned.
