“Julie Chrisley Exposes the REAL Secret Behind Staying Young — Nanny Faye Tells All
Julie Chrisley Opens Up in a Heartfelt, Todd-Free Conversation With Nanny Faye
On the latest episode of Chrisley Confessions 2.0, Julie Chrisley sat down for a rare, Todd-free conversation—and fans were treated to an intimate, often funny, and deeply touching exchange between Julie and the beloved Nanny Faye. Free from Todd’s on-air antics, the two women settled into an easy rhythm, sharing memories, frustrations, and the gratitude they carry into this new chapter of their lives.

From the start, Julie admitted she was relieved to film without Todd stirring the pot. Nanny, never one to sugarcoat, agreed wholeheartedly. As Julie joked, Todd thrives on “getting her spun up,” and Nanny confessed she can’t always keep from snapping back. But the absence of Todd opened space for warmth, vulnerability and several laugh-out-loud moments only these two can deliver.
Julie took time to reflect on the fear she carried while she was away—especially the worry that something might happen to her parents or to Nanny before she could return home. Now, seeing Nanny healthy, energetic, and still full of her trademark grit brings her deep gratitude. And at 81, Nanny remains unstoppable. She laughed as she shared her plan: she’ll “slow down a little” at 100, maybe give up her driver’s license, but for now she has “places to go and things to do.”
The conversation turned to Nanny’s remarkable resilience. She still doesn’t take a single prescription—no blood pressure meds, no cholesterol meds, not even a Tylenol. Years ago, a nurse at Vanderbilt couldn’t believe it. But Nanny insists her health is tied to her attitude: starting each morning with a prayer, choosing joy, and trusting God to handle whatever comes.
Julie also highlighted the unexpected blessing that came from the hardest season of their family’s life: the bond between Nanny and Chloe. While Julie was away, it was Nanny who took Chloe to school, cooked her the “real” oatmeal she loves, and instilled her daily reminder—“Be kind. Be good. It doesn’t cost you anything. I love you.” Now, Chloe repeats those same words back to her. That relationship, Julie said, may never have developed in the same way had she been home.

Nanny reflected on the friendships that sustained her while Julie and Todd were gone. She was never alone—friends called daily, took her to lunch, and showed up with cards, flowers, and small gestures that meant everything. For someone who spent much of her early life working nonstop, raising children and caring for parents and in-laws, building friendships later in life has been a gift.
Despite the hardships behind them, both women agreed on one thing: they have been blessed. Their health battles made them stronger. Their family bonds grew deeper. And even as the children grow up—Chloe recently turning 13—Nanny and Julie remain the steady, humorous, faith-rooted heart of the Chrisley family.
