Officers responded to reports of Chrisley making suicidal and homicidal threats after he allegedly jumped out of a vehicle and was acting belligerently. Upon arrival, officers attempted to detain him for his own safety, but then punched several officers in the face and head while resisting arrest, according to an arrest affidavit.
Chrisley also threatened to kill the officers during the incident. The affidavit states he had been drinking at a restaurant before the incident with the victim and later with law enforcement officers.
He was released on an $88,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 27.
This weekend’s stint in Rutherford County Jail was the latest run-in with law enforcement for Kyle. His last arrest was in September 2024 for aggravated assault.

Kyle and his wife, Ashleigh, sued the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for $1.7 million over that arrest, stating that Kyle was not the aggressor in that situation, but was defending himself against a “disgruntled mechanic,” who showed up at his Murfreesboro home demanding money.
Kyle’s father and stepmother, Todd and Julie, were recently pardoned by President Donald Trump after serving time in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.
Todd was sentenced to 12 years, while Julie was supposed to serve seven, before they were pardoned.
