‘Chrisley Knows Best’ Star Lindsie Chrisley Speaks Out After DUI Arrest
Lindsie Chrisley was arrested in Georgia on Saturday (May 23) on charges of driving under the influence (DUI), though she claims there is more to the story.
According to People, who obtained police records, Chrisley was booked into the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on several charges, including DUI less safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving, and speeding. In Georgia, DUI less safe means drivers can be convicted even if their blood alcohol content is less than .08 grams.
The 36-year-old Chrisley Knows Best star posted bond in the early hours of Sunday (May 24). Her bail was set at $1,355 for the DUI less safe, $680 for improper passing, $565 for reckless driving, and $2,006 for speeding.
Chrisley has since spoken out about the charges, telling TMZ that her reckless driving was a result of trying to avoid a potential collision on a two-lane road.
“I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was,” she told the outlet.
Chrisley said she plans to fight the charges.

The reality star and podcast host is the daughter of Todd Chrisley and his first wife, Teresa Terry. She has been estranged from her father since he and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were convicted of bank and tax fraud in 2022. Todd and Julie were released from prison in May 2025 following a pardon from President Donald Trump.
Her latest legal troubles come just weeks after her now ex-boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested in Georgia on charges of misdemeanor battery and felony aggravated assault/strangulation.
Chrisley and Landsman have both sought temporary restraining orders against each other and agreed to a mutual no-contact order requiring them to stay 500 yards apart, per Taste of Country.
