The Bold and the Beautiful Star Scott Clifton Suffers Head Injury—Fans Left Concerned
The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) recently shared the story of a shocking injury that resulted in a trip to the hospital and delayed some of his scenes as Liam.
Many B&B fans noticed that Liam’s eye looked a bit banged up in recent episodes. It even led to Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) teasing and grilling Liam about his shower mishap.
Liam’s injury was addressed since Scott Clifton had suffered a very real one in his personal life.
On Instagram, Clifton shared a post with some pics of his ordeal along with the story of what happened.
“Well, sometimes life imitates art, and Liam no longer enjoys the monopoly on head trauma,” Clifton said as he cracked a joke over all Liam’s own fainting spells and head bumps.
Clifton explained that he’d been having an exceptionally stressful day since he’d been dealing with a crisis involving his 81-year-old mother.
That led to some trouble sleeping, so Clifton admitted he seemingly got up too fast when he went to use the bathroom.
That led to Clifton fainting in the middle of the night, taking a hard fall and regaining consciousness to see the extent of the damage.
“Blood everywhere, a splitting headache, and an impregnable determination to claw my way to a mirror and see just how much extra work I’d created for the B&B makeup department in a few short hours. And that’s when I noticed the giant hole in my face,” Clifton said of the spot above his eye.
Clifton headed to the emergency room, where he was scanned and stitched up.
The CBS soap star was also scolded for thinking he could let a makeup brush near his injury anytime soon.
Clifton was told to prepare for some “temporary memory loss and cognitive sluggishness from the concussion” as well.
Thankfully, the producers were quite understanding once Scott Clifton informed them of the situation.
Clifton was told to focus on recovering at home while his scenes were rewritten to be filmed the following week.
“The next day my phone was flooded with the most loving and concerned texts from the cast and crew, and that’s really the reason I’m posting about this: I am so sickeningly lucky to be a part of this team, this family, this wholly benevolent daytime empire,” Clifton said.
Clifton wrapped up by expressing his gratitude to the whole beautiful team and even cracked another joke about Darin Brooks “putting up with this newfound ugly mug.”
It’s a relief that Clifton is OK and that his injury didn’t keep him down for long!
