The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, January 6 Update

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 6, reveals that a Newman family emergency is on the way. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also grill problematic Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), so plenty of excitement’s coming up.

For starters, Daniel and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) romance will continue to set off alarm bells for Phyllis.

Tessa is just now getting the ball rolling on the divorce process, so she isn’t a truly single woman yet.

Phyllis may have a hunch that Tessa and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will reunite sooner or later.

There’s a good chance Phyllis will be right since Mariah clearly isn’t in her right mind and wouldn’t be hurting Tessa if she were mentally well.

Phyllis may fear that once Mariah gets through her latest crisis, Daniel’s going to be the devastated love triangle loser.

Whatever the case, Phyllis will put Daniel through an interrogation on Tuesday’s Y&R episode and warn him about getting in over his head.

As for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), he’ll find himself struggling to survive thanks to Matt’s strangling efforts.

Matt will keep using his zip-tied hands to choke Nick, who’ll likely run the car off the road.

It’s easy to picture Nick awakening with a gash on his head and smashed-up car while Matt’s nowhere to be found.

Even if Matt flees the scene for now, he’ll end up back at the ranch for more twists and turns later during the week of January 5-9.

Over with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), they’ll get updates on some disturbing information.

There should be a Newman family emergency once the news comes in about Nick’s crash and Matt’s latest move.

Nikki and Victor will worry about Nick’s medical status soon enough.

Will Nick pull through this ordeal with minor scrapes and bruises or get more seriously hurt instead?

Either way, Victor will fume over Matt’s actions and vow to make sure he pays!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor has more shockers ahead thanks to the Abbotts and their upcoming involvement in Matt’s story, so stay tuned.
