The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, April 17 realize what we realized a while back — the best way for Victor and Diane to get back at Nikki and Jack is to join forces!

Diane and Victor decide to teach Jack and Nikki a lesson.

Sharon runs to Nick’s rescue.

Lauren and Michael start fresh.

Victor and Diane’s Vengeful Alliance

Diane (Susan Walters) is really mad at Jack (Peter Bergman). Diane is really mad at Victor (Eric Braeden). Diane blames Victor for what happened with her and Jack. And Diane blames Nikki for not keeping a firmer grip on her husband.

But Diane isn’t so mad at Victor that she won’t go along with him in order to make Jack suffer. And when Jack suffers, Nikki suffers. So it’s a win-win. Except for the part where everybody loses.

Sharon’s Rescue Mission for Nick

Sharon (Sharon Case) is very worried about Mariah (Camryn Grimes). She discussed how worried she is with Christine (Lauralee Bell). But Sharon is also worried about Nick (Joshua Morrow).

And, in the end, Nick will always come first with Sharon. Nick is in trouble in Las Vegas. Which means Sharon is headed to Las Vegas. There is really no other way this could have gone.

Lauren Joins Forces with Phyllis

Lauren (Tracey Bregman) doesn’t like that Michael (Christian Le Blanc) is still so blindly loyal to Victor. She’s told him and told him and told him. And Michael has listened and listened and listened. And then gone running back to Victor, looking for a pat on the head — and more of the abuse he grew up with from his father figure.

So Lauren is letting Michael’s blind spot go and moving on with her own interests. She’s going to work for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Which should drive Victor crazy. Which he’ll take out on Michael. And they’ll be right back where they started
