Full New Y&R Monday, 6/8/2026 The Young and the Restless spoilers (June 8, 2026)
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, June 8, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will have a new job to do after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) delivers a proposal.

It’ll put Matt in a tight spot, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on the CBS soap.
First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victor will admit he wants Matt to live on the ranch and stay in an apartment near the stables.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be unsettled over this news, but Victor will think it’s the best way to keep an eye on Matt.
Victor will also want Matt’s help with a problem that has a name: Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Matt’s job will be to befriend Cane and become his invaluable ally so that he can find out his every move and report back to Victor.
Since Victor will want revenge over Cane’s role in taking Newman Enterprises away, he’ll seek Matt’s help to crush him.
Victor will make it clear that he’s not talking about physical harm; this is just about getting even.
Nick will voice concerns about using Matt as a manipulative go-between since they don’t want him to revert to the man he was before.
Matt will also think this is too close to the old version of himself and will pass up the opportunity initially.
However, Victor will stand his ground and make it clear that if Matt doesn’t want to be a Newman family enemy, he has to go after Cane.
Matt could land in prison if he doesn’t cooperate, but Victor will be willing to make all the charges go away if Matt helps.

Since Matt will feel like he needs to make amends to Nick more than anyone, he’ll ask Nick what to do.
Nick will defer to Victor’s wishes, so Matt will ultimately get on board with playing spy and reporting back to Victor.
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will assure a skeptical Cane that she genuinely thinks he’s the right fit for the Chancellor CEO job.
Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) will interrupt, so Lily and Cane will be glad to see him looking so great after his procedure.
In a moment alone with Cane, Malcolm will thank him for everything and admit Cane gave him his life back.
There’ll also be some talk about Cane wanting more than friendship with Lily and working to prove himself to her.
Malcolm will acknowledge that Lily makes her own choices, but he’ll also warn Cane about the consequences of hurting her again.
Later, Cane will fill Lily in on his conversation with Malcolm and promise Lily that he’s indeed done hurting her.
After Cane tells Lily about the charges against him being dropped, he’ll eventually get on board with running Chancellor.
At the park café, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will quiz Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) about the new version of The Shadow Room and whether it’ll trigger bad memories about the old one.
Holden will want to focus on making good memories now and will plan a date with Claire for the club’s opening night.
When Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) pops up, she’ll admit she’s been offered the chief of staff position at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.
Stephanie will want to make sure it’s OK with Holden before she takes the job.
Holden will assure Stephanie that he’s forgiven her and that he’d love to have her in town, so she’ll agree to tell the board that she’s accepting the position.
Malcolm will arrive, so he’ll catch up with Stephanie as well as Holden and meet Claire.
Holden will eventually have a father-son bonding session with Malcolm as they start getting to know each other.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Malcolm and Holden could build a strong connection if they keep this up, so stay tuned.
