The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, June 16, indicate that some risky choices will be made.

There’ll also be some messy partnership revelations as one Y&R character refuses to accept defeat.

At the Abbott mansion, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will double down on her belief that it’s time for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to put Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) in the rearview mirror.

As far as Patty’s concerned, Jack needs to choose her instead and concentrate on building a new life together.

Patty may give Jack some time to think about what she’s proposing, but she’ll want him to keep Diane’s safety in mind.

Since Patty has control over Diane through her alliance with Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns), Jack will know his actions could affect Diane’s fate.

Although Jack will hate the idea of being in a relationship with Patty – even a fake one – he may ultimately realize that’s his best option.

Jack may have to carry out a little romantic charade with Patty if he hopes to get Diane back.

Jack will have an important brainstorming session on Tuesday’s episode, so he may put his heads together with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).

Everyone may have a chance to weigh in on Patty’s story about Diane’s breakdown and the clinic that Dr. Markham supposedly found for her.

Of course, Diane will actually be stuck at Dr. Markham’s house, where she’s perfectly fine despite his similar breakdown claims.

Dr. Markham will refuse to let Diane go to a real clinic, so she’ll remain his captive for the foreseeable future.

At some point, things will click into place for Diane, so she’ll put it together that Dr. Markham must be working for Patty.

Dr. Markham might let the news slip that let “rehabilitated” Patty back out into the world.

Diane may realize Patty is in cahoots with Dr. Markham, who’s indeed being paid a substantial sum to deal with all this Diane drama for his former patient.

Patty’s involvement will raise the stakes and let Diane know she’s in real danger, but she won’t give up!

Although Diane will be in a tight spot, she’ll cling to hope that she can somehow claw her way out of this.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will hold onto the hope of rescuing Diane as well, so stick with the CBS soap.
